IF VZW note 3 can't be rooted....

Are you still buying? I am going through the nightmare in my mind right now. I have a great note using beans rom. I sold it on eBay and have to ship it today or Monday. I'm nervous the note 3 won't be able to achieve root and more so the ability to unlock boot loader. If Verizon goes the s4 root ( pun intended) ill be choked I sold away my note 2. I'm okay with no custom roms but the root access to add back wifi toggle and continuous scroll home screen is something I can't deal without. Ugh, what to do.

Yes. I don't root my phones. For me, the small abilities that rooting gives is not worth the downsides.

You are aware that continuous home screen scrolling can be achieved by a different launcher, right? That's the reason I use Nova Launcher. Plus I can add more rows, columns and a bunch of others things.

Yes titanium but I enjoy stock touchwiz. Correct me if im wrong does using a new launcher disable touchwiz features? Ive never used a different launcher. Thx

Nope! I run Nova Launcher and still retain the S-features that the Galaxy lineup is known for. With the new features of the s pen with the Note 3, the dev behind Nova may have to add some stuff to retain all of the new stuff, but other than that, it's great.

This isn't completely true. Some of the cool features of the S-Pen are tied to the default launcher. For example, when using the default launcher, pulling out the S-Pen adds a new screen to the launcher and creates a line in the notification tray with links to a number of S-Pen apps. You lose both the new screen and the notification shortcuts if you switch to Nova.

Having said that, I switched to Nova about 8 months ago, and it was totally worth losing some Touchwiz features.

That's why I added to write the dev lol err, meant to when I mentioned them. With how popular the Note line is, the dev will listen to suggestions to add into Nova Launcher.

XDA reports root achieved on unlocked bootloader versions. But with the (likely) efuse for Knox, that's the end for Knox on that device.
