Would you get the Note 3 or the S5?

I'm asking because I'm upgrading in about 3 weeks.

I have the LG G2 now. Good device, but I'm ready for something different.

Note 3 hands down. You should really go and look at them though. They are actually both very nice but the Note offers things the S5 just doesn't mostly the S Pen and its features. They aren't just for show like a lot of features can be. They are actually quite useful and I use them fairly often. Still, nothing like looking at them up close and personal like.

If I had to choose between one of those, I would get the Note 3. If I could make myself wait for a few months, I would wait for the Note 4. If the rumors are to be believed, its going to be a nice upgrade.

Yes and I'll have me one before the year is out (Note 4)

I got my GN3 in Jan of this year. I did not want to wait for the GS5 to come out.
I may have to find a way to get the GN4 after it comes out I'm in a 2 year contract.

Other people might but no way I'd wait until the Note 4 came out. That's a ways off yet. You'd be missing out on the greatness that is Note

For those who love the screen size only Huawei offers the largest one. GS5 has the best features including awesome fingerprint unlock and heart rate monitor. Water proofing keeps the dust at a distance as well. That's my choice and I am happy with that.

This is my 1st note & I will be sticking with this line of phones for a long time now. I can see me getting every other model so I'll get the Note 5 in 2015. I could not go back to a smaller device now.

I made the decision last weekend - moved from a 32GB iPhone 4 to the Note 3.

I looked at both the S5 and the Note 3, but it was the onboard storage that was a deciding factor (and yeah, the S pen is nice, but really haven't had the time or need to explore it fully yet) - especially as in regards to the reported 'issues' with KitKat and microSD cards. I knew (roughly) how much storage I'd take up, based on my iPhone and a Nexus 7 experience and I wanted to be sure I didn't have to rely on a microSD to have what I want on my device. On my carrier, I was looking at around 7.5GB free on the S5, it was 25GB on the Note 3 - and the difference in price (after 'negotiation') between the two was nominal.
