Edited 9/18/15 -- Received notice yesterday that mine is actually being assembled. So, if the timeline of the Moto X holds for the 360, I should receive it by the end of next week.

Nope. It was delivered to my house today. My local store shows them being in stock (however it's only for the 42mm all back, leather band)

I have Gen 1, don't think I will shell out $400 and not even get NFC to work with Samsung Pay or Android Pay. So I guess it's Gear 2 for me.

Is there a comprise in text font size for 42mm when compared to larger 46mm?

i currently have the first generation moto 360 (46mm) and without my reading glasses notifications are at the cuff of readablity for me

I have to say, it's pretty cool! I never had a smart watch before (my previous watch was a Seiko 5 and a few Fossils before that) and I was surprised how light it was. It's a tad thicker than my Seiko but that doesn't bother me. The leather band is very comfortable and fits my wrist perfectly. I already sent a texts directly from the watch, saw who was calling me and received countless periscope notifications. I'm impressed! The only downfall that I found was in bright sunlight the screen was difficult to see. Otherwise, I dig it!

I would suspect that there will be some anti-glare screen protectors available soon.
