When I set a countdown timer, say 20 minutes, the screen never turn off. Just tested it on my old Note 2, 3 and 4, where there screen goes off after 30 seconds.
I also tested this on all of my new Note5 phones and they all behave this way.
Is this by design or is this another ooops by Samsung?
For example, I started a 60-minute timer this morning when I started baking a loaf of bread. I just walked away without touching the phone. I came back when the alarm went of and that's when I discovered the screen was still on... which drained the battery for 60 minutes for no reason.
