It could be from a fold 3 video, the point is the same. The point I was making is the size of the front screen is by design, and this video did a good job explaining it imo If a person needs a big front screen the S22U does a great job at that.LOL does it really bother you a lot when folks that say they want a bigger cover screen. Almost every review out there on the ZF3 had people wishing the cover screen was at least a little bit wider. That first minute of the video if I recall is actually from a ZF3 video since I seem to recall it from last year. This is all moot anyway because if you put any case on the phone, your reachable dimensions are already affected.
The good news is that the slight increase in the width by 3 pixels in the ZF4 makes a huge difference from typing on the ZF3 and screen management is a lot very improved. While I personally still like it a tiny bit wider, what they did shows that they can achieve a lot by just increasing it a tiny bit and the ZF4 for me is so much more usable for me. I can deal with this and will see how it goes.
I'm just not at home or sitting down so much that I could use the main screen all the time. I wish I could but I use my phone a lot on the go.

Yes it bothers me when people complain about the front screen, it's that way by design, Samsung didn't screw up or hide it. Last thing I want to see is a fold with a 6.8 inch front screen.
It's not ruining my day. It was just a video that explained it well, nothing more was intendedOf course it's by design, but it's also because of weight as well, which is not covered in that video. It sounds good to say that it's done for the reach of your hand. Apple made a similar commercial before they went and made Max versions of their phones, too.
Sorry that it bothers you that much. I don't see them going 6.8" on the cover screen, but if that is what people want - then people are going to get. The fact that they widened the screen while keeping the psyical dimensions shows that they have heard the comments about the screen being narrow. I don't think they'll ever make it as wide as a Plus or Ultra phone.
I came from 22 Ultra. I wished the front screen is just a bit wider. Still a bit too narrow. I am sure 5 and 6 folds will have wider front screens.
The cover screen may be a little easier to type on. I'd still like it a little wider though. You might be right about future Folds.
100% will see wider front screen on the 5
Don't worry, Samsung will eventually get you that 6.8 inch front screen. It'll be hideous, but it'll be there.100% will see wider front screen on the 5

I agree. I can see a tad bit bigger, but not much.I hope not
Ruin the compact size it currently has
Oppo has a foldable that's shorter and wider than the Fold, Mr. Mobile did a good review on it. He liked the cover screen a lot better than his Fold, and liked the overall size better, but said a lot of software had issues scaling to fit the inner screen because it was basically a square.
Wasn't that the model that was thinner than the fold opened so when folded it was also much thinner than the
fold while it had same size or bigger battery than the Fold?
That's what Samsung needs to strive going thinner so that they can go wider and not feel too thick in the hand. When they do I have no doubt they will go wider.
Samsung did a great job pioneering foldables and the design and size makes sense and they had no competition to give them any incentive to change. They don't have any competition in the US market but Oppo and others outside US are showing some solid products and think they will make changes to compete with those designs. I believe rumors say the Google Foldable is following closer to Oppo dimensions.
