Im attempting to repair my s4

I dropped my S4 (I545) and damaged the screen, it turns on but the display is scrambled.

I looked at buying a new digitizer and housing it doesn't seem that difficult to change, but i noticed on ebay there were complete phones with 'bad esn' im thinking it is more cost effective to buy one of these and swap over the parts from my phone. Anyone now of a reason why this wouldnt work? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A little follow up if thats ok, im with sprint and most of the ones ive found are verizon, as long as the model number is the same I presume the internals will be?

I've done this to a few Verizon S4's. I found it more economical to buy the digitizer assembly. This one should work for you. If you have a different color just search for the equivalent in the color you need. Buying the digitizer assembly adds the advantage of it being brand new.
