to know how many members have rooted Epics and experiencing issues versus those who are unrooted and experincing similar issues.

I am constantly reading about those with issues such as unable to update, or with updates going through losing functionality, degradation of service/signal, etc.

I am still toying with the idea of rooting my device to remove all the fluff that I do not need. But I hate the fact that some fo the Sprint apps are still needed in order to perform updates to the firmware AND as of this point there is no telling how rooting or the removal of apps may affect the impending 2.2 update.

I did a manual update to DI07 and the only issue I experienced was dropped calls but this was quickly fixed by updated my PRL.

the only issues that I am having problems with is battery drain. GPS works fine for me and I haven't done anything to experience slow upload speeds. I rooted a few days ago mainly to combat the battery drain issues. I can say that after removing the DRM services it is better but still not where I need it to be.

I did have battery issues, even with DRM installed however I am currently getting 18+ hours of life with moderate usage (games, text, calls, gps) and with minimal use (text, calls) a day to day and a half from a fully charged battery. Using Advanced Task Cleaner 2.0 and place Mediahub on Autokill.

EDIT: I just noticed my LED is no longer working.
