I'm glad my choice to switch to Nexus has paid off

I'm starting to see those frustration threads I knew were going to come popping up now not just here but over at other android forums: "when is [company/carrier] updating to 4.2.2?!?!"
I used to be one of those frustrated people. I know immediate updates aren't important to everyone. But they are to quite a few, myself included.

It was a big deal to me as well and why I ordered a Nexus rather than an LTE S3.

Updates and lack of BloatWare... It's why the Nexus line was my reentry into Android after a long hiatus.

It's frustrating but it's not the end of the world. TBH, all I want is the Menu Button as the other 4.2.2 features can be solved with apps like WidgetLocker and HD Widgets.


The S4 had all the advantages over the One specifically Software Updates but I still preferred it and sold the S4 because like the nexus 4 the build and feels is much better.

when 4.3 comes this month(rumor) and Key Lime Pie in November there will be an increase in frustration threads.

Updates totally important to me. Got used to that with my iPhones. Truly love my Nexus 4's being in line for quick updates when they come out. And I truly enjoy many other pluses as well. Really a good phone!
