Android Central Question

Hi All

I'm looking for a simple, basic app to make lists and notes on my Android phone only, Text only would be fine, voice notes would be nice as well.

Perfection would be notepad with an option for voice notes.

* Must be able to store ALL data on the phone, no clouds.
* Must be able to use without a password, an account, or ever signing in.
* Must be able to change font size.
* Must be able to turn all notifications off.
* Must have an ad free option.

Free would be nice, or a reasonable one time fee, a small subscription, less than $20/year would be acceptable.

So far I've tried onenote and evernote, both were absolute busts, even with the paid version evernote refused to store notes on the phone and the font was too small and couldn't be changed, while onenote had constant sync errors (Which considering I only used it on one device seemed bizarre ) and just lost me all my data trying to get rid of them.

Simpler would be better, text formatting tools would be nice but not really necessary, and I have no need for tools for sharing or syncing or pictures or video or gifs or smileys etc. etc. etc.

Thanks

Bill F

I use Text Editor for all my little text files (it's not limited to small ones, though). As for voice typing, that's a keyboard function. (The app doesn't support voice recording, it's just a text editor.)

You can set the storage location, but "somewhere in a cloud account" isn't among them.

* Must be able to use without a password, an account, or ever signing in. Yep. As long as you "sign into" the phone. It won't work if the phone is locked.
* Must be able to change font size. Text has no font or size, it's just "a", "b", etc. A document editor has font size controls.
* Must be able to turn all notifications off. There are none.
* Must have an ad free option. Well ... every so often one will pop up - just hit the back button. (It's not often enough to make me change it from being my default text editor.)
