My old HTC Hero had a document reader in it that would open PDF and MS Doc's. With this new Samsung Grand Prime I have now it didn't have a document reader. There are probably hundreds of free document reader/editors and I have tried a few but the ads get overpowering and basically a nucence. I have dumped all the apps that I have tried, while they worked the ads were too hard to take. So I am looing for advice for just a document reader. I am willing to pay for a version of it that doesn't have the nucence ads. Any suggestions? As I mentioned I do not need to modify the document at all. Just need a reader.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

PDFs can be opened by Google Drive itself. For documents you can use Google Docs or Microsoft Word. Though these can be heavy for your use case scenario, but the lack of ads are worth it and if you ever need to edit, they can come handy.
Though, there are plenty of 3rd part all in one apps, I prefer these.

Thank you for taking your time to answer my question. I don't use Google Drive as I hate to send a document out to have it opened. Maybe I have to go MS Word as you suggested and then get another app for the PDFs. As you said there are plenty of 3rd party apps but I get bogged down in the shear numbers and decided to ask in a forum.
Again I appreciate your suggestions.

There's a bare-bones pdf viewer from Google called Google PDF Viewer which should be sufficient for just viewing and again without ads!
