I followed the instructions online, but my phone stopped at the downloading step for a long time... Then it was disconnected from casual... I'm hoping I'm not screwed. I'm able to get to step in the pictures below. Can someone help complete the the jailbreak from here?

Do you mean root? Jailbreak is for iPhones.
Anyway, where did you get the instructions? Link would be very helpful. Also, post your model number and carrier

I started on this site and then I followed a link to the XDA site. I was using "BackAtchaVerizon-CASUAL-Revision465b" and I got hung up at the downloading screen for a long time. It was factory stock android with version 4.1.2

Model Number - SCH-I605
Carrier - Verizon

What operating system are you using on your PC? When I did mine with Win8, I had to download additional drivers. Also, Win8 security was blocking the root process. I had to allow some of the files to run.

I'm using Windows vista. I was afraid to do it on my macbook.

Could you post the link you followed? And did you get stuck in the download mode after you flashed the files, or before?

I had this problem, and it turned out that I needed to unblock the JAR file.

Here is the thread on XDA where I asked the same question you're asking.

Here is where I got my answer. Look about halfway down his post, where it says this:

MOST IMPORTANT STEP- well it was for me atleast- right click the R515 jar file and look at the properties. If it says the file came from another computer and you have the option to "unblock" do it.

Ok I finally figured it out. apparently I didn't have all the samsung files on my CPU so that explains why it was hung up half way thru unlocking the device and when I was trying to restore it back to stock I wasn't using the proper files.

I got it back to the way it was before I started the whole process. I'm looking to unlock the phone so that I can use the T-Mo data on it. I have phone and texting capabilities but no data.
