I'm never going back to iPhone

how do you like Pixelbook? I am still thinking about getting the Pixelbook.

Pixelbook is awesome. I have one and a Pixel 3. I came from another chromebook though so had already migrated (from Mac and iPhone). It's just the price point with the PB, but I got mine on a black Friday deal for $699. $999 seems crazy for a PB but it is without a doubt a high-end laptop.

I have both Pixel 3 and iPhone XS. They are both great and each has unique features that the other one doesn't.

But if I have to choose one, iPhone any day.

I bought an iPhone XS in the fall mainly because I wanted to be able to advanced message the rest of my family without having to convince them to use WhatsApp or another alternative and I wanted the Apple Watch 4. I had just cracked the screen on my Fitbit so instead of replacing it I moved to iOS. I’ll be moving back to Android/Pixel phone next year. I like the UI in Android better, I miss my app drawer and having a clean home screen. Google Assistant is leaps and bounds better than Siri. I miss being able to set default apps. GBoard is a better keyboard in my opinion.

I'm the opposite....my iPhone is a work phone so that's all I use it for except Facetime.

I have moved from slow old MacBook air to Pixelbook. Been using for last year, learning to code too. So was able to use containerised Linux apps in dev mode to do some cool stuff. Pretty much can do everything now that they have shared file systems.

It still boots us instantly and the keyboard, mouse pad is beautiful texture. I actually miss my Pixelbook everyday I use my work computer and it is a year later

Glad you're happy with your Pixel. It's a great device.

Curious why you decided on changing systems and why choose a Pixel out of all the choices in Android?
I still like the one vendor approach of apple where "everything just works", so I went to all Google. It is at least slightly more affordable and has more flexibility

I chose the Pixel for fast updates, for no carrier skin which makes restarts, etc lightning fast.

I have 3XL and then have my XS Max/iPad Pro/Macbook Pro/Apple Watch S4. Simply put, the togetherness of Apple devices and apps makes Android, and in this case, 3XL, still not a viable option. I do have a Surface Pro and use Your Phone app to connect my Pixel so I can get notifications, messages etc.,

Pixelbook is not useful to me as I need more than a browser to do my real work. It's not there yet. Same reasons for iPad Pro but I have apps for my Pro that works better than say a browser.

That's a bunch of electronic toys!

Thanks for the reply. I only inquire because some feel, including me, that Google Hardware exists to compete for the attention of a user like yourself. That "one vendor approach" you mention, singular brand, will be keep going forward.

Thanks again.
