My first post on this forum...Hello to you all.

I am a clapped out OAP, so find it sometimes difficult to understand some of the quirks that younger people have no problems in understanding. I need advice, and hope you can help.
I recently changed my car, (got a 2016 VW) and for the first time had bluetooth available. I thought what a good idea to make use of this facility.
I have two old mobiles
1 - A LG KE970 Shine.
2 - A Samsung C3050.

Both are paired up OK, and the LG works and shows the contact list without any trouble.
However the Samsung C3050 does not show its contact list. I have tried many suggestions and workarounds with no success. The VW/Samsung compatibility list does not go that far back - It may be that the C3050 is just not up to it? I am confident that I have done the setup correctly in all respects, but I am aware that Samsung phones seem to continually be reported as troublesome on this particular isse
Your comments would be appreciated

Welcome to Android Central! I'm unfortunately not very well versed in such matters - it could be that the phone is not supported and/or not compatible with the car - but I'm sure that other users here will be able to give you further assistance!

Welcome, Polonut!
I've not used LG or Samsung but I know their forums are quite active and you'll undoubtedly find help there.

Welcome to the forums. In theory that Samsung model has the capability to share contacts via Bluetooth, but it's difficult to know for sure where the problem is. Maybe incompatibility with the car, maybe some bug, who knows, and being Samsung ... :)

It's possible that you have already tried this, but worth asking anyway. Where are those contacts saved, internal storage, SD card, SIM card? Have you already tried changing the location of a couple of them as test?

Welcome to Polonut : Regarding the issue you wanna resolve
go ahead, with the suggestions above. But would be better
if you "Reposted the questions" on the forums for
LG and Samsung phones, viewed for more
users who can send their ideas

Welcome to Android Central! The Samsung phone is a featurephone, not an Android smartphone, so I'm afraid you might not get the answer you're looking for here. It may be that the phone is just too outdated to be fully compatible with the car's system.
