(And rightfully so due to all the misinformation, etc., about the phones...glad he came through, lucky bastard...)
I was there at the launch party, It was in Commerce CA. As a matter of fact one of the guys on my crew won the Thunderbolt. The release date will be the first week of March. The phone is fast and the chip set was upgraded to make for better battery life among other things. The phone is light and its a slimmer Version of the EVO. The event was for Verizon authorized Retailers. I was very impress with the phone.
What do you mean the chipset was upgraded for better battery life? It was upgraded from what it originally was? Or it was upgraded from what the Evo has?

Who wants to start the "Dual Core" rumors? C'mon, you know somebody will....
Its an "upgraded Snap dragon" according to the HTC rep. She stated that the type of upgrade this was was sort of like a 2 in 1 (processor strength) chip sent. The only thing they confirm was the 5 hour talk time.
i thought it was a lil thicker than the Evo seems unlikely they'd make a change to the thickness of the phone last minute
Sounds plausible... The 28th doesn't look that likely now, since I'd think we ought to be seeing more hints of this phone if it's really coming out in 4 days. Now we can hope to see more inventory system pictures, snaps of stacks of phones in shipping cases, and reports of training classes early next week.

screen size of the X and Evo are the same both 4.3" pretty sure it the Thunderbolt vs Evo shmack down video showed thunderbolt thicker i'm go rewatch it now to be sure
No one knows for sure, but BB appears to be advertising a $299 price point in next week's sale flyer.
I am still assuming that VZW will be selling it for $249 with a two year contract as was originally speculated.

Either $249.99 or $299.99. Best Buy has quoted both prices. I tend to believe the $249.99 quote myself but nothing's official yet.
just watched the video again and i was correct the Thunderbolt is in fact thicker than Evo not by much but it is
Does it use the standard HTC OZONE plug for charging? I went to pick 2 up today at VZW, and found out that the release date was changed. Nobody is sure when they are coming out/
