I'm ready to cheat on my GNex.

I'm done. I have dropped data ALL THE TIME after the update. Anytime I activate the screen - bam, dropped data, re-initialized, blah blah blah.

Only, what phone to cheat on it with? I, too, am of the privileged elect to still have unlimited data. I'm tempted to even leave big Red - their 4G LTE, IMHO is overrated for where I live in the northwest metro of ATL.

Advice? I'm so over the sensitive nature of this phone. I've poured, yep, $500 into it, between replacements and the initial purchase. More than angry, I'm incredibly disappointed in the manufacture of the phone. My last avenue is to file a claim on the manufacturer's warranty. Sigh. Bummer.

Phone suggestions? I'd love one with a better camera.

Honestly I'm in the same boat although not as many issues as you but do a warranty exchange instead of using insurance claims. Since the Razr maxx is almost getting a completely stock look with the ics upgrade I'd go for that. Talk to a level 2 tech and demand a different phone if you are done with the Gnex. They offered me another phone when i called before the update was rolled out and promised me a different phone if the update didn't solve my issues.

I'm on the phone with Asurion right now. Again. Getting another replacement. He says I should be getting a new as in new one.

I have been secretly going to the rumored devices forum, its like phone porn. As long as the Gnex doesn't find out, nobody gets hurt.

Your profile says "Something, Anything Non-Samsung". Is that because of the Nexus, or did you have other bad experiences with Samsung. The Fascinate maybe? Just asking because if you get the SG3, it's not really cheating because they are both Samsung :)

Get the Raza Maxx: you'll be impressed with the signal strength.

I feel you on this subject. My wife has had a Maxx for about two months now, and I really like it. As mentioned above, the ICS update for it looks great. It's got as good a battery as advertised and it always pulls in a signal better than my GNex did. (As in side by side, the Maxx has better dBm and loaded pages/data faster.)
Having said that, I preordered a S3 and sold my GNex on Swappa. Good luck with your decision.

Well, I say non-Samsung because I've owned so many GNex units. But I'm thinking that the SG3 will be my next device. I'm going to dump Big Red because ATL is getting Spring 4G LTE this July. Our contract isn't up until January, but I HATE IT. Just got yet another replacement from Asurion - and this one is dinged up. Wasn't new, still bad screen, but not visible on colors other than black. I'm done, mah friends.

So many problems yet i dont have one...hmm...maybe i got lucky..

Yeah, it's weird. Some of us -- including myself -- haven't had any problems with our phones, and some of us have had lots.

Yeah. I'd be fine if they could solve a couple issues. Alas, nay, they haven't. Some phones are made in.China and some in Korea. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

sorry for your misfortunes. i have been extremely happy with my nexus...but i am in a pretty good signal area most of the time.
no screen issues, camera takes great pics, and i am not on JellyBean....no other phone out there can top this one....IMO :)

good luck with whatever you do
