I think the OP is nervous about glue spilling down the back and sides of his $1000 phone Don't think it's about the screen protector itself - could be wrong though.

For what's it worth I have zero desire for glue to be on any of my phone screens. Let alone spilling down anywhere else on my phone.

Yeah I'm with you on that one. Just can't bear the thought of putting glue on the screen of a brand new flagship phone. I'd rather go with a film protector. It worked perfectly on my Galaxy S5.

I was the same as you.

Just allow plenty of time to carry out the install.

The other important pre checks is to ensure your work surface is even.

Test it by using one of the glue tubes to see if it rolls.

That or a spirit level or spirit level app.

Make sure the T sticker that goes over the speaker grill is just over it and does not encroach into the screen.

I also used a torch to show up any pesky dust.

Bold is so very important, and...I did not get a T-sticker for my iPhone speaker and lo and behold I got a little glue into the speaker which made it difficult to hear. Needless to say I was not happy. Now I have the galaxy S9 and if I put this Dome Whitestone onto my new phone, I will be even more careful.

The problem is that the S5 did not have a curved screen. With today's curved screens, the normal film protectors we're all used to do not work.

Also with the note phones the s pen can leave Mark's even if the grey softer nib is used.

They work fine if you do it right. You can't just slap them on, you have to use a hair dryer just like the Dbrand instructions say. I've had a cheapy film protector on my S7E since the day I got it and it's 100% coverage with no lifting at all. Without the hairdryer it lifted up all the time at first.

To those that had issues with their install, how does the return with Amazon work? I bought the 2 pack. Will I send in the 2nd screen protector and tray? Will I need to tear off the screen protector that I applied and send it in too? Or will they just send me another one without having to send anything in?

I use glass on my Note 8, haven't had any issues like some others have noted. Works great, no dust collecting around the edges. Returned my Note 9 due to light leak defect but if I still had it it would have glass on it too - certainly not the dome glass though.

My surface was level. The adhesive stayed put when I released it. Another thing that didn't make sense was when I dropped the screen protector, it made contact with the adhesive immediately. It didn't wait until I pulled the tab out of the top.

Something was wrong... it shouldn't touch the glue until you release the tab.

That's what I thought. I've watched a bunch of installation videos. No one else that I watched had this problem.

I Used the hard plastic tab that pushes into the cradle over the T plastic sticker that goes over the top speaker that holds the glass screen protector clear of the pool of adhesive and phone screen.

I'm 4 installs into this now with complete and utter failure! First attempt was total user error (T-tape was down too far and I had to lift the glass to remove the tape which ruined it). The 2nd attempt somehow got the glass to install too low and the case began causing it to lift off. It must have shifted at some point. Purchased 2 warranty replacements at $10 each and both of those installs had air bubbles that I just could not push off the screen. So annoying to be over $100 into this now with sub-par results. I took my time after the first attempt, watched the HOW TO video countless times and had it down to a science by attempt #4 but I've had it with Dome Glass! I'm not buying anymore protectors for this!

It took me four tries to get it mostly right. I purchased from Amazon, talked to a rep via chat and they refunded my purchase with no need to return, and offered to cover expedited shipping. Note, I peeled off the previous install and used rubbing alcohol to remove the glue from the glass protector, and reused it with the extra bottle of glue. Twice I had lines form that began spreading after install, like an inadequate cure.

Certainly not good experiences.

For my own experience the installation of the WhiteStone Dome Glass Screen Protector went fine.

My working surface wasn't as level as I thought even with resting the glue tube on it to see if it rolled but was able to manipulate the cradle to control where the pool of glue rested on the screen.

I just installed mine while on break at work and did anyone else's phone fit very snug in the plastic frame? It was darn hard to pull the phone out of the frame once I laid the glass down.

Mine was hard to get out, but because of the adhesive that leaked out on top

The absorbent pads that fit either side of the phone in the cradle can make the phone A snug fit.

My first attempt had bubbles all over. Bought a second one, went awesome but 2 days later a thin long strip of weird multi colored crap on top and middle of left edge appeared. I can ignore it during day but at night super distracting. Don't want to spend another 40 bucks so I'll try to deal with it.

My installation went flawlessly!

However, a few weeks later, I have the squiggly glue lines on the curves and a 2 inch crack that starts and stops on the lower center of the screen (but not near the screen edge) - but it's never been dropped.

Oh well, I'm over it...
