Okay guys and gals, every time I receive an update android notification I install it but when it asks to restart my phone I receive a white triangle and an exclamation mark error and my update never goes through. I went to the sprint store and they told me that it's an error with Samsung and I would have to wait till they get it right. What should I do!?

It just means some file the update depends on is modified or deleted.

You probably rooted and changed some files. Rooting by itself wouldn't cause it. If you modified or deleted files/apps using your root powers (including installing CWM), then that would cause it.

I didn't root anything with my phone. I kept it as is since I purchased it

Take it to a Sprint store and have them do the upgrade for you. If they can't get it to work they will replace your phone.

If you purchased it directly from Sprint new, the only other issue that could have caused that behavior is a bad or corrupted download of the OTA update.

Yea that's what I was thinking.... Could it be the update? Or the phone?
