So instead of jacking some one else's thread I figured it be easier and a better future reference (I hope for someone) of somebody could clarify a few things for us noobs.
I've lurked around these forums awhile and this is my first time trying to root (I realize its not the best phone but you make do with what you got) and I got root (using the no idin idiot proof tool) but now I want beans rom. Why? wifi toggle for 1 thing and 50 gb drop box (I take a lot of pictures for my race team so having a huge drop box is a really really big incentive)
anywho, i downloaded cwm, rom tool box, titanium backup, and just about every app I could need for roming and flashing (and I pay too, I supported devs)
what do I need to do and in WHAT ORDER to get this rom running.
and how come when I flash a recovery via rom manager, when I go to recover it I get "no files". did I miss something there. Because I only have 1 back up and I have no idea how I did it but I have rom manager, titanium backup and sqlite editor.
I downloaded the rom via rombox, flashed a cwm recovery and flashed it and no dice. I put the kexec kernel in the root directory of the PHONE, renamed it boot. IMG. still nothing. I've looked at every thread on xda and on here and rootzwiki and no dice. what am I doing wrong.
If you want to take a crack at it feel free to hit me up via pm and we can chat then ill post the directions on here for future reference or just discuss it here.
