So, I downloaded an update for PdaNet+ ...no real big deal. When I went into it for the first time after the d/l, it told me that I had to set a PIN, PATTERN or PASSWORD for screen lock. I did so, thinking that I'll change it back, but now I lost my ability to use "None, Slide and Face Unlock" under the screen lock options. I uninstalled PdaNet+ and that didn't bring it back. Any ideas? I can see that under each of them, it says: Disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage". Can't figure out how to re-enable it. Any ideas??

Thanks!

Goto settings - security & screen lock - device administrators

There is one created from foxfi I bet. You will need to remove it. Then your options will open back up. To remove click it and select deactivate.

Let me know if this works for sure though.

Yeah, I already checked that...I have one for Motorola Device Policy and one for Switch Pro.

Thanks,
Chief

No dice here either. Email them. Maybe if they get enough complaints, they'll do something about it.

Hey guys, having the same issue on my DNA. I fixed mine by doing this: go to Settings>Security>Clear Credentials (under the credential storage menu).

I see where to clear the setting, just wondering if I do that without removing foxfi will it still work. Not sure if its a big enough pain yet to uninstall, just gathering info.

It will, but it asks you to reinstall the certificate. LOL

Thanks,
Chief

Forgot to say....if you are rooted, you can go into your phone using SQLite and change the "entitlement" setting to 0, which will allow your Hotspot to work...meaning, you don't need FoxFi.

Question, did you delete all of the certifications or just the one for Foxfi? I deleted the one for Foxfi and it still doesn't work for me.. :/

This is not a solution, if you have a VPN connections set up, or anything else that requires a credential, it will be erased!

The only working solution I found after searching a lot on forums is to miss the password 3 times (or 5), click forgot password, enter your google account settings and then you'll be sent to the lockscreen security again. Note that "slide" or "none" will still be grayed out, but don't worry, just press back and you will be fine.
