Images Not Appearing In Gallery on S20

[Android Central Question]

Can anyone help with this issue? I take pictures and there's a blank place holder where the image should be in the Gallery app. Every few images won't appear in there and some I'll see, but will then disappear when I click on them. There will only be the image icon and a blank space instead of the image itself. Those same images however, will appear in other apps like seperate editing apps or Instagram. My phone has also been restarting itself mid recording a video. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I think you should try to force stop the gallery app, delete the cache and reopen it.

Do you have a sd card installed?

Welcome to Android Central! I agree with what mustang7757 is thinking -- if you're using the SD card as the default storage location for the Camera app, then the card could be corrupt, causing these kinds of issues. Try changing the default location to Internal Storage, then unmount and remove the card, and see if the problems persist.
