IMAP and New Android Atrix Phones

I found a IMAP issue on the Android Atrix phones.

I currently use Dovecot for email server and I tried this on 5 Droid Atrix phones and the same problem.

When you use the default email client built in the phone and I have IMAP email account setup. Then I browse to all the folders and see the email in the folders except when I go to the sent mail folder it shows no email at all in the folder when I look in my outlook it shows I have over a 100 sent emails.

I have tried a friends email server that is not cPanel and see all email in all folders including sent folder with no issues.

Has anyone else on Andoid Atrix phones having the same issue and found a fix for it

I am using K-9 Email but I prefer to use the default email client.

Personally I never got the default email client to work very well with imap so I went to K-9 mail. I think its a flaw in the email client but I'm not sure.

I am using K-9 Email but I prefer to use the default email client.

I was just messing with my bosses Atrix because he got some Motoblur update or something that wiped out his email connection to our office and I think you need to find the menu selection or settings for that account and check off which folders you want to sync. This is an IMAP email account. I know I saw a menu selection for synching, but without the phone in my hand I can't repeat how to get there. Maybe click Sent and then press menu?

Interesting. I thought this was just me. I have the same issue. I'm using the default IMAP client with my TuffMail account.
