Imei not available to activate

I bought a Metro phone a Motorola Moto G4 the other day and now they're saying I cannot activate the IMEI number on it says it is a store model what do I do they say I need to get a new IMEI number how can I do that

Spoofing an IMEI number may be possible, but it is not recommended, can cause problems with the network, and may even be illegal.

I suggest you try to return it to wherever you bought it because it's blacklisted an not usable.
