So my S8 had the IMEI s/n sticker smack dab in the middle of the back. I don't like seeing it there when I use a clear case. Anyone else have that and if so what did you do with it? I was told at the Best Buy not to remove it. I'm nearly 200% sure I've never liked had this on any of my other phones...

Ignore the clueless best buy rep, remove that eyesore sticker first thing. You don't need that, all the info is inside the phone. If you want to keep that sticker, stick it to the phone box or any other place but the phone ☺️

Yeah you don't have have the sticker on the back anymore. The FCC used to require that the information was physically printed on the back but they loosened up on that a few years ago, so sometimes manufacturers will put the sticker on instead. But it's not required for you to leave it on

Hahahaha thought so, but wanted to double check.

Not needed. What they do need is a sim card. Swapped phones and could not find my sim card when I went to return my regular S8. Several hours later I had to leave Best Buy and search for it desperately. I found it and was able to get back in the 72 hour window to avoid the upgrade fee.

I'll bet that the person at Best Buy also would tell you never to remove those tags on your mattress as well!

The Best Buy person said to not remove it? LMAO The IMEI and model number is already printed on the back on the phone near the bottom if you look at it closely. The only extra info on that sticker is the Serial Number. It comes off so easily - it's not meant to stay on there.

I swear the things reps say sometimes .. I just don't get why they even say it :P.

The first thing I did was fake the sticker off lol all the information is on the phone itself so there is no need to keep the sticker

Yes I always remove mine too.

I suppose it could go in the trash but I prefer like others to attach it to the retail box.

On a side note ~ I have seen it being annoying for YouTube people Unboxing phones and having to flip the phone over or block it at first with their finger as not to shoe the phones Imei number.
