Has anyone revived this OTA update from VZW yet its under settings/about phone/build number IM only interested in non root PLZ reply thanks

IM have some severe issues with my connectivity its dropping the 3g data and voice like 15x a day and I Only ask because the tech support on verizon is saying that this immk76q is to fix some of bugs. The thing that puzzles me is the size is only 745kb thats pretty small and she wants me to do a factory reset to fix this and not install any of my apps

That's not going to fix your bugs; sounds like hardware/bad network.

By the way congrats your name was thrown around in the AC news and I read it on my pulse . It was for your aosp build tutorial on the nexus

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Let me know if you want to unlock/root. But unfortunately, it seems like you may have a bad device :(

IM going to be 100% honest. I bought my nexus 15 days after release, and for 7 months iv not had one month with no problems with connectivity. this is an everyday issue. And iv jumped through all these hoops I got tired of listening to the verizon help people, and started looking for my own answers iv found a lot of interesting info but the girl today told me to do a factory reset and not download any of my apps. I told her I'd done that and I also put into safe mode and neither helped and it still messes up and drops connectivity.

Yes I have been. they keep trying to push the razr on me "not maxx" and I keep telling them that it's a dead technology at it's only a 1ghz processor and that it won't be able to run any future updates on the android software besides ICS and run stable and I never wanted it in the first place.

Just clarification on the razr... its almost the same processor. Its 1-step down from the nexus.. but the nexus is underclocked to the razr's speed. The Nexus has a 1.5Ghz processor that is underclocked to 1.2 (probably for battery life). The Razr has the same generation processor clocked at 1.2Ghz and operates at 1.2Ghz... not saying it will be updated, as the last thing verizon wants to give you is system updates.

The razr is a T I omap3340 which is a 1ghz thats overclocked to be a 1.2 and the nexus is a T I omap 3360 which is a 1.5

I thought the GN was 1.6 underclocked? Regardless, same methodology lol

LOL not even where this topic was but I did my reading on it anyway do u think if the problem IM having is caused by my radio and could I root a different radio it would help

This thread prompted two questions:
I am running Vicious JB 4.1.1 and the Baseband is 1515.09 V.FC04/1515.FC05.
Am I out of date?
And two, is there a good app to set clock speed on the JB GN? Would it be a good idea to go to the native clock speed?

The only phone that I feel would be fair to switch into is the S3

That's not going to happen. Newer hardware, newer phone, different levels in Verizon's eyes. At best you're getting a MAXX, at worst a CLN replacement.

No. The 9 and 10 discrepancy is a hardware revision and has nothing to do with software.

Yes, SetCPU and kernel apps like franco Kernel updater and Trinity Kernel Toolbox will do it. Some roms have that stuff built in as well...
