impossible to auto connect with apt-x, always defaults to aac

when I connect some devices that has apt-x and aac, it always defaults to aac. Apt-x has to be manually selected in developer options.

Is this normal on this phone?

Use of either on a phone like this is pointless IMO due to the Quad DAC. That will give you the absolute best sound quality.

It's not pointless. The point is wireless convenience. And it trumps quality if that's more important to you.
