Impossible to connect my Mac to the new Samsung Tab S

[AC Question]

The tablet runs with Android Kitkat 4.4.
When I start Android File transfer, it says 'device not found'.
This is very frustrating.
Anybody could help ?

Did you follow the install instructions on the AFT site?

If it's connected and still not working, you need to pull down the notification shade. Tap where it says "connected as a media device," and change it to Camera PTP.

You mean the basic install instructions of AFT in 3 steps ? I did that.
Now the situation has evolved when I changed to camera PTP but still doesn't work.
There is another message 'connect with a USB cable'??

Yeah, I mean the downloading, then moving it into your applications, etc.
Are you using the stock cable that came with the phone?
