I thought I'd share the Xposed Framework modules I used with those of you who have rooted or will root the G2 in the future. Still think it's a great phone, but I wanted to change a few things to make it even better.

(1) Advanced Power Menu > add additional options (screenshot, data on/off, reboot to recovery, etc.) to power menu
(2) Notification Mod > access notifications from protected lockscreen (still requires pin to open apps, settings, etc.)
(3) Soft Keys Fade > hides soft keys after ~3 seconds
(4) status bar scroll top > move to the top of a list or page by tapping status bar
(5) Tinted Status Bar > changes color of status bar to match apps (looks really nice)
(6) XVolume30 > fixes low volume issue (volume sweet spot now ~40 instead of 60-70)
(7) G2 Disable Fully Charged > removes fully charged notification

All of these modules were easily downloaded from the Xposed Installer app (requires root).

Great list, I'll definitely use it when I decide to root. The only thing drawing me back is the issue with updates (now that KitKat is approaching) and all the hassle of returning to unrooted state to get those.

Cheers!

You'll get more improvements from installing Xposed than you will from the 4.4 update!

You are right, I could see that just after doing so :P Jelly Bean is working wonderfully, though I would ask for a little more zippiness. Both G2 Xposed and Greenefy are doing great things, and the DPI adjustment truly converted the phone in something much more enjoyable.

Cheers.

G2 Xposed (Play Store app) is another good one.

>removes volume slider from notification panel (free up space for notifications)

>KitKat status bar icons

>add recent soft key to navigation bar (looks like N5 key)

Ffs I really want to install xposed but I haven't been able to create a nandroid backup. I tried installing cwm with the ROM manager app, but I'm still getting the red triangle screen when I boot into recovery. I can't figure out what's going wrong. There are a lot of things I don't like about the g2's software and I'm itching to use xposed, but I can't get past this one problem.
