In-Store or Order?

Well I finally got approved for an early NE2 upgrade. I'm currently on the list for an Incredible when they get back in stock at my local store. My question is would it be quicker to wait till it's back in stock at the store or should I place an order over the phone and wait till August for it to ship?

That's kind of a crap shoot. Sometimes you can get them earlier in the store, especially with some retailers because their suppliers will get small shipments from time to time.

But then again, verizon typically tries filling all online orders first. If you're already on a list, I'd stay on it simply because you're waiting until august anyway.

I'm currently still on the waiting list at my local verizon store. I went ahead and ordered one over the phone so I could hopefully get my phone before I leave on vacation. Does anyone know if something happens and the store gets an Incredible in before my phone gets shipped would I be able to cancel my order and get the in-store phone in it's place?

Did you put money down at the store for the incredible? If so, there could be some issues, especially if it was a corp store because when you preorder at a corp store they put a hold on your account and you won't be able to activate the internet incredible.

And once an incredible is ordered online, I don't think you can cancel it till you recieve it ant then ship it back.

The store near me just got incredible in stock.. they're still waiting to see the X

I placed the order over the phone and was told it wouldn't be shipped till August 3rd. I was just curious if the store got the phone in stock before the phone shipped if I could have them cancel the order and just pick up the phone there since technically I've already paid for the phone?

I have to order mine at a corporate store near my place. and as of now, they dont have any DI or DX in stock. They will ship the phone to my house on 08/03 and since I have the 2-day FedEx, it will get to me on or before 08/05.

This is the gamble you play with Verizon on new phones. I originally had a pre-order with BestBuy for my Droid X, and when I found out I wouldn't be getting one until weeks later, I cancelled it and decided to take my chances with the VZW store.

It all worked out in the end.

See if you can get a HARD date on when the phones will be in the store.

Well I've tried numerous times to get an actual date when they will get them in stock, but all I'm told is we'll give you a call.
