so far not impressed with the inc 2 camera picture quality. i think the inc 1 produces better pics especially inside pics. anyone have any insight on this? maybe software update in the future could help.

Not sure what you're doing wrong...the incredible 2 camera is far better than the original. This is from the engadget review:

The camera on the original Incredible was no slouch. It could be coaxed into taking fantastic shots given enough care and attention. The Incredible 2 takes this formula to the next level, with a camera that's capable of producing amazingly realistic pictures without too much effort. It features HTC's next generation 8 megapixel sensor with autofocus optics (also found on the Thunderbolt) plus a dual-LED flash. Color balance and exposure are top notch. Low-light performance is impressive. Noise is kept under control without compromising detail. In fact, we're pretty sure we're dealing with a backside-illuminated sensor here. There's a certain clinical precision to the pictures captured with the Incredible 2 that we've really come to appreciate -- the camera simply gathers a tremendous amount of information, resulting in amazing shots.

I too am not impressed with the camera.

The locations of the buttons at the VERY bottom of the screen and lack of a case button make for awkward picture taking and one handed shots are mediocre at best. If I can hold the phone w/ 2 hands and stand perfectly still I can coax a decent shot but my BB Tour (with 3.2mp vs the 8.? mp of the Inc2) blows this camera away.

I have hundreds of GREAT one handed, quickly taken pictures from the BB which I cannot achieve with the Inc2. In fact I took my avatar picture w/ my BB Tour in about 5 seconds, one handed and think it looks great.

Maybe I am doing something wrong? I asked in a few other threads about an app that would move the buttons but have not had time to investigate it further.

It really bothers me as I like to take a lot of pics and video.

Any tips on moving the keys or handling of the phone in camera mode are appreciated.

My only tip is touch focus and allow the camera to focus other than that I've gotten great pics with this they have coke out just as good and some better than my wife's iPhone4 and that's saying a lot because the iPhone can snap some great photos

I haven't had any issues with the picture quality... seems to work great for a cell phone. Outdoor shots are fantastic and indoors with good lighting are also good. Of course not so great in low light, but haven't seen a phone yet that produces quality pics in those conditions.
