Incoming call issue

Morning,
Basically if you were to call my Nexus 6p the caller would here 3 rings in their ear before I phone would even start to ring my end. Any ideas?

Why is that a problem? Your phone does start ringing, correct? And once it starts ringing you are able to Accept or Decline the call? If you accept the call you're connected and able to carry on a normal conversation?
Anyway, that is likely a carrier issue.
