I've not heard of this issue, except for maybe folks experiment with custom ROMs. One would need to flash a different modem.

I definitely haven't done that. Last phone I bothered to root and flash custom roms on was my Note 3. Lol

Oh, yeah. I wasn't thinking you did. Just saying that I've not heard of this issue on a stock phone.

Then as someone else suggested, perhaps it's an app you installed causing your issues.
Think back to before you had this issue, did you install an app right before this problem started? Uninstall it, reboot your phone and see if the problem goes away. Either way best of luck!
