Incoming Caller's Name Obscured

Why on Earth is the incoming caller's name obscured by Group and Note information? Who thought this was a good idea?

This "idiot box" can be dismissed by tapping the tiny blue triangle in the upper right, but I shouldn't have to: it's 3?Stupid: The information is unnecessary, it's idiotic to place it right there, and I should at least have the option to turn it off.

Any ideas on how to remove it would be greatly appreciated.

Odd this doesn't happen on my calls. Do you have an app or something that prompts this information?

I was under the impression that replacement apps couldn't affect incoming calls at all; that the built-in dialer app reigned supreme no matter what. Well, it can still be molested with apparently.

The offending app was DW Dialer/Contacts, which wasn't good enough to switch to, but not so horrid as to be deleted immediately. That I hadn't explored its many options also explains why it hadn't occurred to me to check it.
