Incoming Text Preview

I have the Note 3 on TMobile and when I get a text the notification on the lock screen says who the sender is and the first line of the message. My mom has a Note 3 on AT&T and when she gets a new text it just says New Message. Even in the pull down notifications it doesn't say who the sender is, you'd have to go into your texts to see. Is that a carrier issue or a setting on her phone? I don't recall doing anything differently in my setup than I did for her yet I'm not sure where the discrepancy is.

Check her Messages settings to see if you can make it so that she sees the senders name.

Messages -> settings -> "more" tab -> scroll down and check "preview message"
