Incred 2 problems

Just found out a friend of mine picked one up two days ago. He is having the same problem! Also, our local Verizon store took down the display and took the model off the floor.

Really? It would be interesting to hear the guys there comment on why.

Have you tried to add +1 in front of the number you dialed to see if that fixes it. Just funny it thinks your roaming in Germany .

Tack, i am in louisville, the verizon store on shelbyville road and hurstbourne is the one that we had the problem with. We got a phone shipped in last night and the same thing. Funny thing is when she is out of our local area and roaming the phone works fine. Talked to tech support last night and they told me that there may be a patch coming but he didn't know when and now we have a samsung fascinate coming and leaving HTC for good.

Sounds like it is a software incompatibility with some towers or local areas. We are essentially in the same local area for Verizon. I am staying with the phone. I love the overall device and software. If this issue is resolved, I am in great shape. I am told it is being worked on now. We shall see. I must have a global phone.

The guy on the phone last night told me that there was 1 other instance of this and that it will likely take a while for the patch to roll down. I really liked the phone compared to my fascinate as well but must send it back, it would bother me. Good Luck.

have either of you tried turning it on CDMA only?

settings>call settings>preferred network>CDMA only

He said he did

I tried setting it to CDMA, turning off assisted dialing, manually selecting the US in assisted dialing and CDMA settings, etc. None of it worked. The Verizon person did little troubleshooting but the HTC person had me do all kinds of stuff, including factory wiping the phone and starting over. I also tried disabling GPS and location services to see if it might be an issue. I really don't want to replace the phone after spending a full day getting it like I want it!

sorry. didn't read through the thread. just knew what the problem was and thought i'd try to help.

well i really hope you guys can get this straightened out. so weird

soo.. i've read posts saying the need for bump charging is gone on this phone, but i'm starting to doubt that. both times i've taken off my phone from charger after hours (5+) of charging from about 40%, within 30 minutes i drop about 6-7% doing absolutely nothing on the phone. it has display off and is just sitting there literally in my room while i get ready for school or work. pick up my phone and i'm already at 93%. anyone else seeing this? i know my phone is only a few days old, but regardless, i don't think that should be the reason for this right?

well i would make sure you don't have anything running in the background and make sure unnecessary radios are turned off. there are several battery life threads in this forum. this thread is to discuss a very specific problem that a few of our members are having with a country code showing up when they dial out

Is Assisted dialing turned on? It is mentioned on page 56 and 57 in the Manual pdf that I downloaded from the support website. I think this would cause your phone to affix a country code onto all numbers dialed.

my girlfriend is having the same problems with her incredible 2 as well. She says it puts 0015 in front of all of her calls, and she can't call out. Not even the Verizon helpline.... anyone able to fix this yet?

apparently its a problem with the contact lists.... if the person you're trying to call isn't on the contact list and you just dial in the numbers it'll go through. At least that's the temporary fix for now.

PDANET has been taken off the market by verizon. and i haven't seen an update for market yet either.

Just ordered my Dinc2 about an hour ago. Im leaving the old dinc. i need the bigger screen and the ffc would be nice. Im in philly so hopefully i dont get these calling problems.

Turning off assisted dialing does not fix the issue. Apparently the Northern Kentucky area is a problem area. It seems the 00151 is what is appended if dialing from Australia. I assume this means the phone thinks we are in Australia. I am going to China and Europe soon, and I hope this problem does not follow me.

Verizon has called me 3 times in the last week, but not in the last few days. They were actively working the issue and giving me updates. I will call them tomorrow. In the meantime, I am dialing manually.
