Incredible 3G connectivity problems

Have you tried a full reset and reactivation through the dial pad codes?

For instance on the evo, before froyo, ##7877# would push you into a list of options one of them is to reset. (or something similar)

I'd imagine its the same on the Dinc, just different codes. This is a shot in the dark, but hey it might save you the trouble of rooting lol.

Im gonna see if i can find the codes, google search here i come...

Also, Unrevoked forever gets S-off permanently by "rooting" the radio partition. If you radio is already borked... I dunno, but id say save unrevoked forever as a last option. If there is another way to get S-off without the unrevoked forever id do that, then flash the radios and unrevoked forever after the radios are fixed.

Jared - if you root with the current Unrevoked it should also give you s-off (Unrevoked Forever) and allow you to flash the radio. Flashing the radio is the same as flashing any zip in the Clockwork mod recovery. If you need help with any of this let us know.

Yeah i could use some help the last phone i rooted was a droid eris which was waayyy easier then the Dinc i havnt had to root mine because i got mine from VZW when i replaced my OG droid and it came with 2.2 so i didnt really feel like going through that whole process

Rooting with Unrevoked is easy - Download the HBOOT Drivers Here. and follow the directions. Then Download Unrevoked 3 here and run it. Follow the directions in the program. Then you can download the radio to your PC - Copy it to yuor SD Card and then boot into the Clockwork Recovery (Power button and Down Volume at the same time). Follow the prompts to run the Zip you copied to the SD card for the Radio. It will flash it and you should be back to the stock radio.

If for some reason the radio will not load - run Unrevoked Forever here.

Hope this helps.

I recently had a weird issue where I was rooted, but I could not boot into clockwork recovery. I reran unrevoked, then I was able to get into recovery just fine. Maybe you should trying running it again.

That sounds like the rooting problem people were having with the SLCD screens. Did you download the latest unrevoked3 (not forever) for the Incredible? Mine screen is AMOLED and I never had your problem.

unrevoked

Maybe someone else can chime in here.
[Same problem as you are having reported below]
