Need help with signal

My brother in law finnaly switched from webOS to android he bought an incredible he activated it programmed it blah blah his signal bars are showing and everything except for his 3G symbol ive checked everything and his data roaming is on any help

we did that also theres a little weird symbol like an r facing down with a slash then a white bubble under the slash

I saw that you also posted in the DInc forum and I've been following that - I don't see what else to add other then to call VZW and make sure your Account was provisioned correctly for data.
