Incredible losing data connection

Not a huge deal, just a minor inconvenience. It all started with GTalk losing its connection. Randomly, it just disconnects and I have to load it back up to log back in.

Lately, I'm seeing my phone as not even registered on the data network. No little 3G icon, either. To get around this, I just need to shut the data off and turn it back on.

The reason I'm concerned is because with the Moto Droid, I never had a data or signal issue. With the Incredible, I just don't get it.

Any tips to help my situation?

I would first make sure that always on is checked if that is what you want. If they are already checked, than im not sure why it would just disconnect.

so, the "always on mobile data" selection in settings > wireless and networks > mobile networks should be on?

didnt realize that messed with gtalk
