Sup zrxoa1. I know you probably don't want to root since you're close to taking the phone back and all but that would be my suggestion. Getting rid of all the Verizon stuff on there would probably go a long way to helping your battery life.

It's really not that difficult to unlock and get rooted but like I said, I know you're probably ready to take it back. If you do go for it (rooting that is) I'd recommend scott's CleanROM 1.6.5 (version may be newer by now, that's the version I ran about a month ago) It's a great ROM, about as close to stock as you can get, gets great battery life, and frees you from Verizon's death gripe of bloatware.

At any rate, consider it.

That was a real pain. I had to go to a Verizon store and get a new sim card to get the Rezound back in operation. Apparently when reverting back to the iPhone it caused the sim to be "retired".

I have heard this can happen. Guess I've been lucky? I've switched my service from the Rezound to the Droid Pro and the HTC Ozone (just to mess around). I couldn't switch back to the LTE phone myself, but it wasn't hard. Just had to call VZW tech support and have them do it. They say when you switch your LTE sim card to 3G, it "may" kill the card, but it always works fine for me personally.

I'd see if Verizon will swap that standard battery out for you. It might be defective in some way. I had a bad battery in my Omnia II. Think it got used to much before i got home to charge it fully. It blew through a full charge in a few hours of very light use & just sitting idle. Got a new battery, put in power off and charged it up fully. Night and day difference. Don't think the LTE radio could be an issue since you posted that excellent speednet result screenshot. Try the battery and consider what Wanda mentioned in his post or even trying the newest ICS leak, not rooted. You can disable the bloat in ICS w/ out worrying about unlock and root. That's all up to you but I'd see if they will set you up w/ the new battery, at least, if your still considering returning it soon. Hope you can make it work to meet your needs cuz it's a great phone aside from lackluster results using the standard battery, as you know.

Yeah I have gotten into the sim card thing. If you activate another phone, it deactivated and you have to get a new one

That's closer to normal but less than what I remember getting off my standard battery w/ 2.5hrs of use.

Those battery stats look pretty good for an unrooted Rezound. I know you'd prefer not to but I would still consider the Extended Battery & Battery Cover.The Rezound's version really feels less bulky than other devices' extended battery options.

I have the extended battery and cover. I can attest that it feels really nice. Phone is not bulky or anything. I got the belt clip case with the built in kickstand from Verizon. It works really well.

One last update then I will stop bugging you folks. Just got home from work, 12 hours since unplugged and still have 50% battery left. What I have been doing is as soon as I get to work and check my mail and stuff, I turn off the data. The most important thing to me at work is getting texts from my wife. At each break and at dinner, I turn data back on and check mail and surf if I need to. Seems to be working. Looks like I will keep the phone. I would still like to get the Mugen 1900 batteries when they become available, but for now everything is going fine.
