inexpensive QI charger stays warm after phone is at 100%

After my phone reaches 100% the charger stays warm and as a result transfers that heat to my phone. - or is the phone still pulling power causing it to stay warm.

In either case, should the phone stop pulling a charge or should the charger stop providing one? I hate needless heat on my phone/battery

how much did your cost? I got mine from costco and the charging indicator turns from blue to green when the phone is at 100%. when I lift the phone it's cool to the touch. the costco one is $40 for a pack of 2 10 w chargers, but of course only charges at 5 w with the pixel. it cost about the same as most of the one you see on Amazon.
