Infuse not updating

Hi everyone. There have been a couple of small updates for the Infuse, but I don't believe I have gotten any of them. I do not have the widely-discussed issue where Software Update reports that it cannot connect to AT&T servers. My Software Update attempt just silently comes back and says that I'm up to date and that I can check back in about 24 hours. My build number is UCKD5, which I think is fairly old. Any ideas what is going on?
 
I'm on UCKH1. If it's not updating the normal way, contact AT&T...see what they've got for ya.

No updates for me and I have had since launch day.

Im having the same issue. ive had my phone since launch and its not rooted and it wont update at all. I have tried it manually and even cleared it so i can do it again and still nothing. I just hope that when GB comes out it will update to that.
 
You need to connect to the web via data not wifi. Turn off wifi and activate data and try it again. It should work
 
UCKH1 is the latest. Got it today OTA. I've never been able to manually connect to the AT&T server. This the 2nd OTA update I have gotten since June.

Actually, I've never tried with WIFI. I only use my HSPA connection. AFAIK, I have never received an OTA update either, or at least I've never been notified about getting one.
 
I tried every trick possible and was never able to get an update. I gave up yesterday and switched to the Infused Gingerbread rom and love it.

U said turn off wifi and activate data. if you mean turn off wifi then try to do the update i done this many times. if you mean activate data means something else please explain.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Turn wifi off, activate data, check for updates in the settings, and then it should download. That's how I received the last update.
Are you rooted? I may be wrong, but perhaps being rooted has an effect on this. I had to unroot my phone yesterday and go back to stock because of a bad flash, and in stock I checked for updates and got it.
 
Same here. I've had the phone since the day it came out, and have never had an update. Version UCKD5
 
I am in the same boat. Bought this phone brand new, running stock Froyo 2.2.1 rooted. I can download the update, it reboots to a white screen that says updating and fails every time on 75%. I have tried a factory reset, un-rooted, but still fails @ 75%. I have removed some AT&T bloatware but I'm sure others have also and updated. It can't be the root, I would have seen numerous threads on that. fyi, you don't have to wait 24hrs. to update again just find "device management" under running apps & clear all data, you will be able to try again. One other issue I found is kies tells me "unregistered device" but not sure if kies can be ran on an Infuse, Samsung doesn't even offer it as a download like it does for the Captivate.
 
OMG, I've been on the phone with AT&T for over an hour. The tech support person threw up her hands and transferred me to Samsung, who said that it was up to the carrier to send updates. So, I called AT&T back and asked for a higher level of support. This person is telling me that there never was an E3 update published for the Infuse. She is now calling Samsung back. Deja vu. Stay tuned...
 
My guess is that the rooting is causing the update to fail, however, I'm no expert on that.

As for KIES, it does not support the Infuse today and Samsung was not able to tell me about any plans on supporting it. For the life of me, I do not understand how Sammy could release a phone without adding support for it in this software. Very frustrating.
 
My phone has the stock unrooted rom i have never changed it at all. my phone has never updated once since i got it as others has said here as well. there must be an issue where some phone will update and others will not. the phone i have will not download this update no matter what i try. yes i tried with wifi on and off, i tried after a fresh boot of the phone nothing matters it wont update. my main concern is that when GB is release will my phone not update that also. my version is uckd5
 
My concern as well, and Samsung told me that I should be concerned. I'm on with AT&T tech support for a third time this morning, 3 hours into my adventure... I'm starting to "rethink possible".
 
OK, well, AT&T tech support person #3 has now "created a case for me" and asked for my call-back number. I hope this is not the pit of doom for my support case. This person told me that Wifi needed to be on for updates (contrary to what everyone else says). Of course, this didn't help. I'll update the thread when I hear something back (or if I don't as well).

Rooting did not cause the update to fail, as I've been rooted since day 1 and was able to get the update.
