Nigel, that code is useless. Not trying to be rude, but since you registered with a gmail, the Ingress account data is already linked to your Gmail account. The code will do nothing.

I got my invite months ago. I tried giving the code to a friend. Didn't work.

To everyone else: This is NOT the place you will get invites from. Check +Ingress on Google+.

Edit: Nigel, Ubuntu? What version #?
