hey guys sorry for this question but here it goes...how long will be the initial charging time for this 1400 mah? anyone?:)

90 minutes? I mean the ideal initial charging time of this lithium ion battery. Is it 6-8 hours before use?

Ours are test versions for us to play with. We charged them til the LED changed colors, and then drained immediately as we are roaming. Nice joke Verizon!

I've got mine plugged in next to me while turned off for 30 mins so far. Had about 25% battery when I got it out of the box. I'm hoping your 90 minute thing is true for me! I'm just gonna leave it plugged in until the amber light goes green. :-)

It'll probably vary a little by phone, but my Captivate with 1500mah takes about 3 hours on a wall charger. But that's always from about 20%

That's what we did, and that was our time. The OP is asking about a conditioning charge apparently. I thought those were done with.

Lithium batteries don't require an initial full charge like the old nicad batteries did

maybe its because lithium is the byproduct of nuclear fusion

Lithium batteries are meant to be charged and discharged from different levels of battery left. dont forget you also need to "break in" a lithium battery so your battery life is gona suck for then next week or 2.

Uhh, sticker on the cord says 4 hours.

I haven't seen the cord as those are in our server room with the IT guys. Ours are test units. Well, they are the real thing, but they are test units to us. Our phones are roaming and can't even connect to 3G. Edit: There is no sticker on the cord that says to charge it for 4 hours. IT said they didn't remove anything either. Maybe yours is more special. Yours works at least.

Yes, I just received my phone in the mail. The sticker on the charging cord notes the average charge times for standard (4.0 hours) and extended (5.0 hours) batteries.
