Insane battery drain while device locked

Hi all,

I have a rooted Note 3 andr realize that my battery has been draining like crazy even when I'm not using it. Something like 7-10% per hour.

The issue seems to improve if I turn mobile data off. And doesn't happen at home when connected to Wi-Fi.

I've checked with BetterBatteryStats, and found nothing that would actually cause such a huge drain in battery.

My battery could drain over 50% with only 5 minutes of screen time

My workplace also has a relatively weak cell signal. Could this be the cause?

When I try to place the SIM card in my iPhone 4S, the battery only drains 1% per hour. So this issue seems specific to my Note 3.

Any help would be appreciated!

There might be a problem with the sim reader
