Instagram and Photos App not showing SD Card Images

Long story short I took my SD card out to try a new phone out and I am going back and forth for a bit. I put the SD card back in the HTC and now Instagram and the Photos app wont show what's on the SD card. The app quickpic gallery shows it just fine and I can access it in file explorer.

Any ideas on how to get these apps to see it again?

Try clearing the app cache/data for those apps, then Force Stop. Reopen them and see if the photos on the SD card show up.
