Instagram Video Playback Issues

I have downloaded the latest update for Instagram featuring the new video capabilities.
I'm encountering some issues.

Videos record, will allow filters, then process and post in a relatively quick amount of time.
However when I play the video back once it is in my Instagram feed the audio is distorted as if recorded in slow motion.
Thus it doesn't match the speed of the video which itself seems like it plays at normal speed.
During editing the video pays and sounds normal.

Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

I am on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1(model NT-8013) running Android 4.1.2

Side note: the orange update icon has ow moved over and pops up above the profile link instead of the heart icon.

I tried this and it helped me a lot with this situation, go to Settings<Display<Aspect Ratio Correction, if Instagram is checked, uncheck it. Hope I helped

I couldn't find these steps = Settings<Display<Aspect Ratio Correction, uncheck Instagram !!

i solved this issue, which was melting my brain, by installing viva video, from the play store for free. its a video editor but it lets u upload straight to instagram. hope this works for everyone else.

When I found your message, I tried we video and it completely worked and it has been awesome!! I tried to download a video via this process again just recently and it did not work and it continues not to work. I am not sure why as I have been using the same process. Now I am back to the chipmunk sound, at first when I played my videos back on my Galaxy S4 it sounded normal, but downloading to my IG sound distorted, now it even sounds distorted when I listen on my phone.

Does ww video still work for you?

I'm having an issue too ! I'm using Samsung Galaxy Trend. During the editing and playback, I did make sure that it's less than 15 sec vid. and the SPEED AND PITCH is just fine BUT when I playback (after uploaded) the song (video) the SPEED AND PITCH went higher. (and sound like a little kid ofc). I hope that this won't happen again.

That happens to me too and I don't know what can I do!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo and I have the same problem. Anyone knows the solution?!

I had the same issue with my sony Xperia - I couldnt watch any videos or view any photos sent to me on instagram.

Solution -

Update instagram

How I did this; turn on background data via settings in your phone, go to google play store, type instagram, there should be a button that says; 'update' click that. Instagram will automatically update. Once it has updated - go in to the app and check to see if it is working. If it is not I would suggest contacting your manufacturers guide for more details.

I have have the same issue with my huawei g-610
So ,as you said, i think its because of the android 4.1.2
but i havent found any soloutins yet

Guys I fixed it. You should uninstall any video editing app not only vv. I had filmorago and when removed it everything's fine now

Nope, my version is Android 4.0.3

I tried everything....then I realized my battery saver mode was on. Dont be a dummy like me. Turn off power saving mode. :-/

Did anyone ever find a solution then? Im having this problem on my Samsung Galaxy s4. I uninstalled and logged out but its happening on all my account. The video freezes after 2 seconds (sound still continues) then the video carries on playing resulting in it not matching th sound/delayed.

Solution : Just install an app 'InShot' and save video by using it and then upload on instagram.
