is there any way that I can install the same app multiple times so i can get notifications from multiple accounts?

Specifically, I use Airbnb as a host and my friends will be going on vacation and want me to check on their accounts. is there any way I can install the app multiple times with different accounts so i don't need to switch back and forth? i want the notifications available as well of course.

thanks!
J

Unfortunately, not on a stock phone. If the app you want to use doesn't support multiple accounts, you'd only be able to do it by signing in/out of each account.

There are a few options, however, that might work without rooting/hacking your phone.

1) Web notifications. Not sure if Airbnb has a mobile site with notifications, but if it does (like Facebook), you can have one account running in the native app and one on Chrome and get notifications from both.
2) Multiple users. This would let you 'install' the app several times (in reality it's installed only once, but the user data/settings is saved for each user in your phone) and use a different account in each user, but you wouldn't get notifications for all accounts at once, only on the user you're currently logged into.
3) If Airbnb supports it, switch to e-mail or text notifications. That should work no matter which account you're using.

thanks SpookDroid! i was looking for web notifcations, but don't think airbnb has it.

any way that i can have guest accounts logged into the other airbnb accounts and have my primary account receive notifications for both?

Not that I know of... Each account would get their own notifications but only if you're logged into it.

Now, this I'm not sure will work but you can try: Pushbullet. It can forward any notification from your phone to your computer or another device with Pushbullet, so if the apps on the other account still run, that, in theory, could work (but I'm not entirely sure once you put an user 'in the background' in Android those apps are still running or not).

In any case, that could work if you have a different phone or device you can just leave at home or if you have an always-on computer you could install Bluestacks and install a fresh instance of Airbnb and Pushbullet there to forward notifications to your phone.
