Installing and uninstalling several times

Can installing and uninstalling apps over and over cause any issues with the phone? My friend said it can slow down the flash memory over time. Is that true?

Flash memory has a finite read-write lifespan, but it installing and reinstalling an app would only be a very tiny portion of the read-write cycles that the memory goes through.

So I really shouldn't notice anything adverse in the lifetime of a phone just from app installs uninstalls

Correct. Unless, I suppose, you happen to be uninstalling and reinstalling apps every single day.

And if that were the case it would be a physical issue with flash memory. Doing a restore wouldn't negate the effects

Because I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few applications over the last few days because I can't decide on which I prefer
