Installing ApeX

o.k so im bout to buy rom manager pro, and i need to know before i buy this if i can install apex rom over flyX? and if i cant what are you guys reccomendations to in stall this rom?

if require wiping phone etc... please let me know how i can fullly back up everything. thanks !

Always backup. I installed over flyX. Do a full wipe of everything and you should have no issues.

Inside Rom MAnager is a BACKUP CURRENT ROM button. It's that easy. Make sure you got the Droid X Bootstrap app before doing the back up. (Flash Clockwork mod as well! Very first choice on the Rom MAnager app) so to be clear......

1. Make sure you got the Bootstrapper app. (found in market, support the guys)
2. Buy/get Rom manager
3. Flash ClocworkMod Recovery (first choice within Rom MAnager)
4 Scroll down to Backup and Restore, choose Backup Current Rom, name it Fly x or whatever you want)
5. Watch the magic happen. (drink a cold one you deserve it)
6. Once your booted back up you'll have a back up in the Clockwork folder found on your SD card.
7 Now you can download Apex1.1 if you want to flash that over flyx. (If theres any problems after that, go into Rom Manager and restore to your backup)
8 Want to start from stock 2.2? eh, well....um... hey let us know how the flashing over flyX works out for yo first.

Let me rephrase this, I think TNT meant (correct me if I'm wrong TNT) Is that during the download/install of a Rom (In this case Apex1.1) in Rom Manager they ask if you want to WIPE and/or CLEAR ALL DATA. Do all that and you'll be good.

yes, in your back up is the Fly X. but once you reboot to your new Rom it will be APEX1.1.

Yes wipe in rom manager after download and backup. Watch when renaming backups as if it has a space in it it wont load. Flyx will work but fly x wont. Yes just install over Flyx. When loading roms it will remove the old and install the new. If you don't wipe you could run into some problems.

update will be based off of the 2.2.1 build and the framework is done just waiting for Fab to finish it, I hear he's adding some blur to it, camera, messaging, and social networking. I think he's been listening to us.

that's great. I had to push back so many apks to get the my account and email to work. Also had to have the tex back. The stock oc was no playing nice with my phone so had to turn that off. Funny thing is my phone loves 1.2 with no issues.
