Did you wipe and clear data before installing?

Sometimes I get that but I believe its from 2.2 being dumb. If its every tex then it's a issue. Do you have another tex app like chomp or handcent? You will notice your old tex changed to the plain tex without the bubbles now. Let us know what you got going.

Only have handcent disabled the other apps notifications. I an receiving the text twice in the same app as if the person sent it twice.

I believe I did a wipe, if I didn't would that cause this?

No I got your fix. So your using handcent now and getting them twice in handcent right? Using root explore go into system/app and find mms. Change the name from mms.apk to mms.bak. this will kill the stock message from working. Could fix it. Reboot after and see.

Have you ever had that button not work for you ? I sometimes can't change it after doing stuff and need to reboot to switch back and forth. Now I just leave it on r/w all the time.

Really?!?! In Root Explorer? Thats odd, yeah of course if not making any changes it should be (or I to sometimes to forget to switch it back) on R/W but I've never had to reboot to switch it to R/O ....are we talking about the same thing here?

sup everyone, just got the DX about 2 hours ago, came from a bb. I'm terribly new at all this lol but i'm rooted already and trying to install apex. I was just wondering if 20 minutes of seeing installing update is unusual. Thanks in advance.
