Installing .apk files

I just downloaded a game in a apk file off the net (since that was the only way I could get it), and I located it OK on the file manager part of the phone. Since I don't really know what I'm doing, I touched the package installer option out of the two they showed me (other option was verify and install). After that it says installer blocked and saying that it blocks installers what aren't from the Android Market. So I'm wondering, how do I install this game. The phone I'm using is a Huawei Ascend P2.

Go to Settings/Security, and make sure "Unknown Sources" is checked.
